The Garden is now open.

  • The Garden is  open May through September every Friday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Appointments can be made during other times by calling 208-734-7959.  No appointments are made on Sunday.
  • The suggested entrance fee to the Garden is $5.00 per person or $20.00 for a household.

Fall Plant Sale at Orton Botanical Garden

Plant Sale: August 22-23 and August 29-30. Time: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Plants for sale include the following:

1. Agastache rupestris 'Sunset'  Hyssop, Hummingbird Mint.

2.Gaillardia aristata Arizona Series 'Sun' Blanket Flower.

3. Penstemon barbatus Rock Candy Series 'Ruby' Beardtongue.

4. Penstemon davidsonii 'West Jordan Valley Form' Davidson's

 Beardtongue.

5. Salvia nemorosa 'Blue by You' Meadow Sage.

6. Salvia nemorosa 'May Night (Mainacht)' Meadow Sage.

7. Salvia nemorosa 'Sallyrosa April Night' Meadow Sage.

8.Tetraneuris (Hymenoxys) acaulis var. arizonica 'Sol Dancer'

 Hymenoxys.

9. Zauschneria garretti 'Orange Carpet' Hummingbird Trumpet

 (Epilobium). 

The above plants are in 1 gallon pots.


Some other available plants in various sized pots include Mexican cliff rose, buckwheats, cotoneasters, fern bushes, and cactus plants and cuttings.

    Orton Botanical Garden has several Board of Directors positions available.  If you are interested in serving on the Board of Directors. please submit a letter expressing your desire to serve on the Board of Directors and giving a brief biographical sketch of yourself.  The letter can be submitted via email directly to Board President, LaMar Orton, at lorton1@msn.com.     Visitor's Guide to the Orton Botanical Garden

    A 62-page visitor's guide is available for sale at the Twin Falls Visitor Center, 2015 Neilsen Point Place in Twin Falls (at Perrine Bridge).  It can also be purchased at the Garden and online by clicking the button below.  Garden members can buy the guide at a reduced rate at the garden during our open hours and during our May plant sale.
